SERAN WRAP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Roughly two hours after the completion of your tattoo you can now take the Saran Wrap off and wash it.

  2. Wash your hands well and your new tattoo thoroughly using unscented antibacterial soap (I recommend Dial Gold). Rinse your tattoo off thoroughly and pat it dry with paper towels. DO NOT USE BATH TOWELS! These hold bacteria and can cause an infection.

  3. Once your tattoo is dry re-wrap it with a new roll of Saran Wrap. Do not use what is in your kitchen already, get a new clean roll just for your tattoos to avoid infection. If a reaction occurs due to the wrap (rash, bumps, irritation, etc.) stop using the wrap immediately!

  4. Now repeat this process 3-4 times a day for the next three days.

  5. On the third day remove the Saran Wrap, clean it as usual, and instead of wrapping it, use a very thin layer of unscented lotion (I recommend Lubriderm) or tattoo ointment. Plenty of people use Aquaphor for their tattoos, but I recommend avoiding it because it’s easy to use too much and smother your new tattoo.

  6. Repeat 2-3 times a day for two weeks or until completely healed!

  • Wait at least two weeks before swimming or sunbathing to avoid damage!

  • Do not touch your healing tattoo unless you are washing it with clean hands.

  • Keep it as dry as possible while showering and remember to use clean paper towels to dry it.

  • Remember, your new tattoo is an open wound so keeping it clean and free of debris is the safest way to avoid an infection.
